Happy September Everyone
I am still taking time away and stepping back from blogging and social media for a while. Luckily all my posts were pre-scheduled to the beginning of October. Taking time out for my sanity and well being.
September was the planned restart date for me to return to live blogging.
Unfortunately it was not to be.
However I thought it essential for me to update you all on the circumstances to delaying my return.
This post is my first live one for months and has been difficult to write and complete without making it depressing.
You may all be wondering why I have not responded to all your comments for a while.
Fate has intervened and has forced me to withdraw completely from blogging.
My intention initially was to use step back time to enable me to rest, recuperate and rejuvenate the creative juices.
As you are aware, up to now, I have been popping in and out, scanning my e-mails, reading posts and responding to comments when I could.
However I am, for the time being, unable to do that as I was rushed to the local hospital emergency department to be treated for Covid.
At eighty I am certainly vulnerable and have to take great care of what I am able to do, take on and cope with.
My oxygen levels were critical and continued to fall, pulse rate doubled and was increasing, blood pressure soaring by the minute and the virus was impacting upon my organs and a suspected blood clot in my lung.
I was on assisted oxygen for two days and then moved to the Critical Dependency and Decision Unit for monitoring and further treatment.
Fortunately made it through and am at home slowly recovering; but, still having some difficulties with breathing accompanied by coughing, aches and pains and being generally lifeless and weary.
Certainly I am well shaken and stirred.
This post has been a real struggle, for me, to write and complete.
