The image depicts a painting titled Pandemonium by the artist Jo Saurin. The work is a vibrant abstract painting. Multiple coloured layers show abstract, lucid formations of colour in which space and mass seem to coalesce easily which provide depth, movement and give the painting its dramatic structural intensity. The work captures the emotional excitement felt by both the protagonists when Bacchus leaps off his chariot and declares his love for Ariadne.
